to the individual or their representative giving four
weeks notice. It is also fully accredited by DeafBlind
UK.
Our Home

of the elderly and six years experience as Home Manager.
The Assistant Manager, with 13 years experience in
care of the elderly, acts in her absence. There is
a team of dedicated carers and senior carers with
over 50% having attained NVQ Level 2 or 3, and an
on-going training programme. As required by the Commission
for Social Care Inspection, Darsdale Home has a staff
induction package as outlined by Skills for Care.
There is a team of domestic staff who maintain a
high standard of cleanliness and an odour free environment
and a maintenance man/driver/gardener. All staff
employment is subject to clearance by the Criminal
Records Bureau (CRB) from convictions under the Protection
of Vulnerable Adults Act (POVA).
Darsdale Home is owned by northamptonshire association
for the blind, which is a charitable
organisation. Committee members hold monthly meetings
at the Home and carry out an inspection prior to each
meeting. As part of that inspection a nominated committee
member seeks the views of residents on their care and
surroundings. These views are noted in the Minutes
of that meeting and are available on request.
A six-monthly review is held with each
resident individually, and is carried out to establish
if the resident has any concerns about their care.
Copies of the Inspection Reports will
be made available upon request. Alternatively copies
can be obtained from the Care Standards website www.csci.org.uk.
